In this body of work, Drew takes familiar pattern structures... Argyle, plaid, florals, and repeating forms, and intentionally removes the rigidity they’re often bound to. Instead of perfect symmetry and predictable repetition, each design leans into movement, texture, and subtle imperfection... Allowing the pattern to breathe, shift, and evolve.

Like a round of golf, every piece starts with a plan, a direction, an expectation, a vision of what it’s supposed to be. But what ultimately defines the outcome are the adjustments, the feel, the confidence in each individual stroke. The same applies here. Each mark, each variation, each break from structure contributes to the final composition.

Traditional patterns can feel controlled, even timid. This project challenges that.
